What does DPO mean?

DPO stands for days past ovulation, the count of days since you ovulated. It is how the two week wait is counted, because the events that lead to pregnancy (fertilisation, then implantation, then rising hCG) are all timed from ovulation rather than from your period.

  • By last period: we estimate ovulation as your period date plus (cycle length − 14).
